Arc of Monmouth’s Employment Assistance Program
Today Senator Jennifer Beck stopped by the Arc of Monmouth County’s Work Opportunity Center (“WOC”) for a tour of their facilities. The Center provides employment to persons with disabilities throughout Monmouth County.
“Seeing the great work done by the people at the Work Opportunity Center today was eye opening,” explained Beck (R-Monmouth). “This facility offers jobs to individuals who might not otherwise have a chance to work and earn a pay check. The men and women employed at the center all expressed their love for their work and the fulfillment they get from being employed at the center.”
The WOC has been in operation since 1966, providing clients with outsourced services at reasonable prices. The employees at the WOC do everything from packaging and sealing to document shredding and shipping.
“The staff at the WOC continues to look for clients in new and creative ways,” Beck said. “As new clientele comes in, the capable workers and staff adapt to their needs and provide outstanding services. These jobs are so important to each and every worker at the WOC you can see in their faces the pride they have for their work.
“I want to thank Executive Director Mary Scott for inviting me to meet the amazing folks working at their facility, it amazing what these men and women have accomplished,” closed Beck.
